Up to 6 Passengers attended Service for Burial / Ashes Scattering at Sea: $550

For those families wishing to attend the voyage, Metamorphosis Boat Charters provides ash scattering at sea services tailored to the family’s preference. Cost for this service is $550 with estimated time of 2 hours.

You may choose to have the Captain conduct the service or provide your own. We will include seasonal flowers for the ash scattering and slowly circle the site before returning to harbor. On the return, the Captain can provide a shoreline pass of Atlantic City and share much of the City’s history. We strive to provide a very positive experience of closure for the family and an everlasting fond memory of the service. Afterwards, we will file paperwork with the EPA on your behalf and provide a copy and a Certificate of Scattering with the date and location of scattering.

Unattended Scattering at Sea: $350

Often families cannot venture to sea or attend a sea scattering service. Our captain brings the cremated remains on an ocean voyage on the family’s behalf.  A dignified ashes scattering / burial at sea is performed and paperwork certified, with that documentation provided to you.  This is our most affordable option, with price at $350.  We will also provide flowers and document with digital photography if requested at no additional cost. Additionally, You may video-conference or FaceTime at the time of scattering to share in the experience

7 passengers & above Attended Service for Burial / Ashes Scattering at Sea: Call for Pricing

The Metamorphosis is limited to carry up to 6 passengers, however we can assist with logistics for a larger group on an alternative US Coast Guard inspected vessel. Price varies depending on group size, location and Season. Do call to review needs and specific pricing can be provided

Virtual Participation: The Atlantic City Advantage

As mobile Cell Phone antennas are located on top of the Atlantic City skyline, we have excellent Cell Phone reception off-shore at the scattering location. For this reason, you may have unlimited virtual participates (IE: via FaceTime, Zoom, WhatsApp or Teams). This option may permit family or friends at great distances or those not fond of the sea to participate live in the service. This may also help to manager overall attendees to keep to the 6 passenger limit for best affordability.
